Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on Android in UAE Q4 2021

During the fourth quarter of 2021, the top five carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in the United Arab Emirates displayed a variety of trends in weekly downloads and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a comprehensive look at the performance of these apps.

Careem – rides, food & more saw its weekly downloads rise steadily, starting from 6.3K in late September and peaking at 9.5K by the end of December. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at approximately 76.5K and ending the year at around 73.1K.

Uber - Request a ride maintained consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 2.5K to 3.3K. Active users showed a positive trend, increasing from 98.1K at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of 113K in mid-December before slightly declining to 100.4K by the end of the year.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced modest weekly downloads, starting at 1.6K and reaching up to 1.8K by December. Active users also showed a gradual increase, beginning at 9.5K and ending the quarter at 11.6K.

Careem BIKE had a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from 734 in late September and peaking at 1.8K by the end of December. Active users followed a similar upward trend, growing from 1K to 2.1K over the same period.

Bolt: Request a Ride showed steady weekly downloads, ranging between 900 and 1.3K. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 3.9K and ending the quarter at approximately 4.4K.
